      2003年春季,山东省青岛地区刺参养殖场暴发了较为严重的传染性疾病一“腐皮综合征”,该病引起的死亡造成约30%的损失。养殖刺参的发病症状表现为:厌食、摇头、肿嘴、排脏、身体萎缩、口部溃烂乃至体表大面积溃疡。从患病个体溃疡部位分离得到一种优势细菌KL-1,KL-1经人工回接感染实验证明对健康刺参具有较强的致病性,且感染病参的症状与自然发病海参的症状相同。通过形态学、生理生化和16S rDNA分子生物学方法对该菌进行的分类鉴定表明,导致养成刺参“腐皮综合征”的致病菌是灿烂弧菌(Vibrio splendidus)。本文首次揭示了该地区“腐皮综合征”导致养成刺参大规模死亡的致病原因,对刺参病害防治和健康养殖具有重要的指导意义。

      The temperate sea cucumber species, Apostichopus joponicus, naturally distributed in Bohai Bay and Yellow Sea, is a valuable one due to its nutritional and medicinal properties. In recent years, sea cucumber aquaculture has developed rapidly along the northern coast of China, while the expansion and intensification of A. japonicus farming has led to the occurrence of some diseases. In the spring of 2003, the cultured sea cucumber suffered from serious disease in many farms along the coast of Qingdao, Shandong Province, which was infectious and lethal, causing 30% losses around the area. The symptom displayed as anorexia, shaking head, mouth tumidity, viscera ejection, general atrophy, and skin ulceration, the disease was tentatively termed as "skin ulcerative syndrome". The bacterium KL-1 was isolated from the focal area of the infected sea cucumber, and it was dominant amongst the isolates. Artificial infection test proved that KL-1 was the causative pathogen associated with the disease. The bacterium KL-1 was identified as Vibrio splerdidus, by the means of morphological, physiological and biochemical tests, and 16S rDNA sequence analysis. This paper revealed for the fisrst time that the causative pathogen leading to the mass mortality of the sea cucumber in the area, which will be helpful in the disease control and health management during sea cucumber cultivation.
